History

Shadow Hills Elementary School

Shadow Hills Elementary School was built thanks to the support of community members who voted in favor of a bond election held on February 20, 1996 that provided the financial support necessary to build Shadow Hills Elementary School located in northwest Boise, as well as Trail Wind Elementary School in southeast Boise.

Opened in 1997, Shadow Hills Elementary School opened with 493 students.  Over the years, student enrollment has fluctuated, with nearly 670 students enrolled in 2003.  The school sits on a ten acre site and the building size is 57,730 square feet.  Major renovations/upgrades included the addition of air conditioning to the gymnasium in the year 2000 and the addition of a classroom wing in 2003 due to increased in enrollment.

Shadow Hills provides an excellent academic program focused on student success and academic achievement delivered by dedicated, caring and committed educational professionals.
