The Howler
March Newsletter 2023-2024
Today is a Good Day to have a Good Day.
Dear Families,
Happy March…Happy Snow Day…Goodness…
We have had a great February as it ended with a wonderful turnout of new kinders last Thursday during Kinder registration. We embraced our new littles and families as they began their Make Your Mark journey at Shadow Hills. Each new kinder followed the dots on a tour of our school, showing off their skills in the library, meeting our amazing kitchen staff as they learn about carrying a tray and opening up a milk while enjoying a cookie, and seeing a kinder classroom that is home to so many possibilities. It was a great evening for all. Next fall, our new kinders will also paint their own dot to add to our mural at the entrance to our cafeteria.
We are quickly approaching Spring Break and the end of the third quarter. We encourage you to visit our Lost and Found before break by checking in at the front office and Mrs. O’Neil and/or Mrs. Foss will set you up to look through Lost and Found. By the end of the year, we are unable to store all lost items, so we take them to a nearby donation center.
Field Trip Season is upon us. Thank you so much for taking time out of your schedules to support these trips through volunteering. It provides great opportunities and experiences for families, and we are appreciative of all the extra help.
Please take a moment to review the PTO announcement below for the Read-A-Thon. This is another great event that is all inclusive for students and families.
Lastly, we are in the phase of a reboot with Instagram. Although we want to streamline the purpose of it to be most benefical, we would like to start sharing out moments that celebrate our school as a community. Search for Shadow Hills Elementary School as shadowhillswolves.
We appreciate you!
Sincerely,
The Shadow Hill’s Staff
